Simon Evans is very pro-Treasury Wine Estates. As far as TKR has observed, each word he has penned in the Financial Review has been positive. Though no doubt he is of an independent mind, and shows no favour or fear, he is extremely kind to TWE regarding the new range of Samuel Wynn wines (read article). TWE is lucky to have such support.
But like so many he appears to have has been led by misinformation
“ [Samuel Wynn} was a wine merchant in Melbourne in the 1920s and a pioneer in wine retailing, who later went on to jointly acquire the Riddoch winery in the Coonawarra in 1951 which was renamed Wynns.”
Who was the partner? There is no known partner as far as TKR is aware!
